We are looking for volunteers to help with running BARQ.

BARQ is looking for new team members! Over the last year our user base has grown to almost 80.000 users and still growing every day. Together with our other volunteers you can help shape the future of BARQ and make sure the platform keeps sailing smoothly.

We currently have the following positions available:

The BARQ moderation team is looking for new moderators! As a BARQ moderator you will be handling all sorts of reports. Reports can be about uploaded content, user profiles or user behaviour on the platform.

As a moderator you will be periodically checking the BARQ admin panel. In here you will be looking at reports in all sorts of categories. Reports can range from incorrectly rated content and biographies violating the BARQ community guidelines, to users lying about their age or impersonating others.

You and the other moderation team members will decide whether the reported violations are valid, and you will take action if deemed necessary. If you have questions or want second-opinions, you go to the BARQ Discord and discuss reports with the other team members.

• You must have an BARQ account
• You must be over 18 years old
• You must be proficient in the English language
• You must be able to check the reports page frequently, at least once every day (if you’re on holiday or trip you obviously don’t need to)
• You must be able to be active on the moderation Discord channel and participate in discussions

• You are capable of handling shocking and/or difficult topics. Reports can contain violent content, unsettling imagery or very foul language.
• You are unbiased and are able to view reports objectively
• You are not afraid to question your teammates about their actions and want to contribute to improving the moderation policies

🕑 For this role we are looking for moderators in both the US time zones and EU time zones.
