NEW LOGO! Completely new Profile Search, Improved Chats, Improved Groups & Replies, LastFM Integration and many UX improvements

We have updated the app icons for both iOS and Android to use our new logo! Also, when starting the app for the first time, you’ll see the new logo slowly filling up while it’s logging you in :3

We have completely overhauled Profile Search!

You can now find other furries by their species and interests. You can filter by age, mutuals only or require profiles with profile images. You can also filter on relationship status, genders, sexuality and a few other AD filters.

The new search should not only be a lot quicker and easier to use, but it should also make scrolling through profiles much snappier! Please try it out and leave your feedback and comments on feedback.barq.social :3

The chat has also been improved in this version. We have a completely new interface and this one should be a lot more stable. In the coming updates we will add real-time chat and typing indicators, keep your eyes peeled 👀

You can now add your LastFM as a verified social account! When you link your LastFM account, you’ll get a new widget on your profile page that shows your most recently played song (or the song you’re currently playing)!

• Back button works again on Android devices
• Buttons on the top on iOS no longer jump out of screen
• If you select an image it takes some time before the cropping tool opens. This is now less confusing thanks to a background loader
• General fixes and changes to the upload image screen when adding pictures to your profile
• Creating a post in a group should now be easier and the UI should be much cleaner
• Creating a post and replying to someone’s post now has an easy button that does not auto-hide anymore!
• Replying to a post has also been made easier
• Group “Show info” button has been placed back in the 3 dots icon
• Various components have been rewritten or removed due to being unused (like the Profile screen)
• Chat list design has been improved
• Group lists & cards design has been improved
• Lots of places have better explanation added to what certain options do
